OWI Labs Inc. ("OWI Labs", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit owilabs.com or our self-serve store at wizard.owilabs.com (collectively, the "Site").

We measure Site traffic using Plausible Analytics (self-hosted), cookieless audience measurement running on our own infrastructure. Plausible shares no data with third parties, it stores no directly identifying information such as your name or email address, and what we report on is aggregated. The store events it records (such as starting a checkout or confirming a purchase) contain no personal identifiers.

To understand where our audience is located, we derive an approximate location from your IP address, at the level of country, region, and city. The IP address is used only for that lookup and to generate an identifier that rotates daily. The IP address itself is never stored. The lookup runs against a database held on our own infrastructure in Quebec, so your IP address is never sent to a geolocation provider.

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting providers and, for store purchases, our payment processor Stripe) who assist us in operating the Site, subject to confidentiality obligations. Some of these providers, including Stripe, may process data outside Quebec, including in the United States.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

For analytics specifically, we keep a record of each visit: the page, the referring URL, and the derived country, region, and city, together with the identifier described above. That identifier rotates every day, so visits cannot be linked from one day to the next. Your IP address is not part of the record.
